Why I Am Running
I am running for the Los Angeles Community College District Board of Trustees because our community colleges should provide every student with an affordable education, a safe and supportive campus, and a clear path toward a meaningful career or four-year degree.
I want every LACCD student to have access to that same opportunity—whether they are preparing to transfer to a four-year university, entering the workforce, learning a trade, changing careers, or returning to school later in life.
My Community College Experience
I have great memories of attending community college in California. It gave me an affordable, high-quality education and prepared me to transfer successfully to San Francisco State University, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in kinesiology.
Community college also gave me the full college experience. I competed on the track and field team and traveled to other campuses for competitions, just as student-athletes do at four-year universities.

California’s community college system is one of the state’s greatest resources. It provides an affordable entry point to education, career training, and four-year universities.
